The World's Best Views? There's An App For That

Who doesn’t love a scenic view when they travel?  Views On Top is a new iPhone app to help people find places with great views at popular locations around the world.

Margaret Scott, Founder and Chief ViewOlogist of the Views On Top app, initially created it to avoid her own frustration when visiting a new destination and not being able to find where to go for the best view. She’s now building a community of travelers around the world, who share her love of scenic views. With over 700 destinations in 85 countries and more than 500 panoramic and rooftop restaurants and bars, no other travel guide makes it so easy to find where to go for a great view.

spectacular views_iPhoneViews On Top’s ‘NearMe’ screen shows scenic places up to 1,000km away from wherever you are – perfect for when you arrive somewhere new or are planning a journey. You can also search from the comfort of your own room and be inspired to visit observation decks, lookouts, monuments, bridges and gondolas. You’ll even find advice on taking train trips and participating in adrenalin activities – all with great views, of course.

Users can track where they’ve been and keep a bucket-list on personal world maps, share photos, add comments and recommend places to others. You can even book tickets to major attractions and reserve hotel rooms straight from the app, via links to GetYourGuide and Booking.com.

Views on Top was a Finalist in the AUS Mobile & App Design Awards 2014 and is FREE on the Apple App Store.
