Grasping The Rosetta Stone

Using Modern Language Learning Technology

Was one of your new year’s resolutions to learn a new language? Then don’t miss out on this deal from Rosetta Stone Language Learning offering 10% off any purchase until 28 January, 2010. Rosetta Stone’s innovative software is revolutionizing the way people learn languages, making it faster and easier to learn using their dynamic immersion method. An independent study at Queens College City University in New York recently found that 55 hours of Rosetta Stone software is equivalent to one semester of language studies in college, except there are no vocabulary lists, grammatical drills and rote memorization techniques. This is much more fun… and flexible. By taking a computer-based interactive course, the classroom immediately becomes transportable and is highly user-friendly making it popular with both geeks and luddites. The program uses native speakers and even has a speech recognition feature that helps users to perfect their accent from the beginning (one must repeat over and over until correct). By surrounding you with words, images and sounds from your computer, the program uses the same intuitive language learning techniques used when you were a child. Sound silly? Yes, you will, but at least with the Rosetta Stone Language Learning course you can do so in the privacy of your own home until you feel confident enough to get out there and practice in the real world.

Rosetta Stone Level 1 starts at $229. A full box set of 3 is $539.

Rosetta Stone is a waste of money. There are lots of better ways to learn, online, that cost much much less.
