Party with the Princess
Beginning Memorial Day, Monday, May 31 and continuing throughout the summer, the nightlife impresarios at the Gerber Group are starting retro, themed pool parties at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess. Called Starlet Sundays Pool Parties, the poolside fests celebrate Hollywood glam, each month spotlighting a different decade of films, starlets, fashion and music. First up on Memorial Day weekend is the 1950s and ’60s with a Brazilian beach theme inspired by “The Girl from Ipanema,” which continues Sundays in June. Fourth of July kicks of the ‘70s era and August is totally ‘80s, culminating with an end-of-summer prom party on Labor Day, Monday, September 6. The summer pool parties take place every Sunday at the resort’s South Pool from 11:00 a.m. to sunset. Resort guests and local Valley residents, 21 and older, are invited and admission is complimentary.

For guests wanting to play past sundown, the resort is offering a special overnight “Starlet Sunday” room rate of $149 plus $50 food and beverage credit at Stone Rose Lounge or the South Pool. For more information, or to reserve a summer getaway, spa or dining reservation,  call (480) 585-4848 or visit the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess online.
