Searching for waterfalls in Hawaii often involves long treks along high peaks far from the main roads. But reaching Rainbow Falls, located on the Big Island in Hawaii, is relatively easy and definitely worth the trip. This majestic waterfall has a spectacular 80-foot drop and its name stems from the colorful rainbows that appear in the surrounding mist.
To reach Rainbow Falls, take a short drive from downtown Hilo on Waianuene Avenue to reach Wailuku River State Park.
