Skype Offers Free WiFi to Travelers

Holiday is all about being with your family. But if you are stuck in the airport during the busiest travel week of the year, there is a way to be with your family – no matter the distance – by using Skype. And to make it even easier, Skype is offering free WiFi in participating airports across the country from December 21st-27th. Skype WiFi enables travelers to call loved one’s on landlines or mobiles around the globe through voice or video call using their PC, Mac or iOS devices. Just make sure you’ve downloaded the latest version of Skype for Windows or Skype for Mac, or have downloaded the Skype WiFi app on your iOS device before you travel. Once you have signed in with a valid Skype ID, check your wireless network connection to see if you are in a supported hotspot. It’s that simple. Users can enjoy one FREE hour of Skype WiFi internet access at more than 50 major airports in the U.S. including major hubs such as New York JFK, San Francisco International and Chicago O’Hare. Click here to view the full list of participating airports.
