Ganges Moments

A series of images that highlight a journey to Varanasi, one of India’s ancient, sacred cities of pilgrimage, located alongside the River Ganges.  Photographed during the Hindu festival of Shivaratri honoring the deity Lord Shiva, the images convey the color, pageantry and devotion that has marked this celebration for thousands of years.
