SAA Fly To Tanzania

South African Airways announces a special low airfare to Dar Es Salaam in honor of the country’s 50th Anniversary of Independence.

Tanzania is the largest country in East Africa and the gateway to some of the most extraordinary travel experiences in the world, dating back to the early footsteps of British explorers like Livingstone, Burton and Speke, who all battled through the terra incognita and competed to discover the source of the Nile. It boasts 15 National Parks and 31 game reserves and is the home of the tallest mountain in Africa, the legendary Mt. Kilimanjaro; The Serengeti, home to the “Great Animal Migration” that was named the New 7th Wonder of the World; the world acclaimed Ngorongoro Crater, often called the 8th Wonder of the World; Olduvai Gorge, the cradle of mankind: the Selous, the world’s largest game reserve; Ruaha, now the second largest National Park in Africa; the spice islands of Zanzibar; and seven UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The Tanzanian people are warm and friendly, speak English, which together with Kiswahili, are the two official languages; and the country is an oasis of peace and stability with a democratically elected and stable government that protect about 28% of the land in support of wildlife conservation and sustainable tourism.

So if you’ve been hankering to visit, now is the time to book your trip. South African Airways just announced an exclusive airfare starting at $1,300 (plus taxes) for travel from New York (JFK) to Dar Es Salaam (DAR) between September 12 and Tanzania’s 50th Anniversary Celebration on December 9, 2011. The country is busy preparing a series of exciting events during this travel period leading up to the Golden Anniversary so there will be no shortage of festivities to attract adventurous travelers seeking a unique destination experience.

“Tanzania became independent from Great Britain on December 9, 1961 and since then Tanzania has evolved into a prosperous, peaceful and stable country,” says Dr. Aloyce K. Nzuki, Tanzania Tourist Board’s Managing Director. “We appreciate South African Airways constant support in providing special airfare to promote tourism to Tanzania from the US, our number one source market.”
