Springtime Spa Escape to BACARA

If you’re looking for a luxurious beach vacation to take you away from the hustle and bustle of LA, look no further than Bacara Resort & Spa, near Santa Barbara.

Perched high on a coastal hillside in lovely Goleta, Bacara Resort & Spa is the type of retreat you never want to leave once you drive through the gate. This Mediterranean-style resort boasts luxe guest rooms, spread out among various villas, that come with a complimentary bottle of wine and a stunning view. Whether venturing on a romantic rendezvous, girlfriend spa getaway or family retreat, Bacara enchants with its elegant ambiance and thoughtful service.

While it’s tempting to stay ensconced in your heavenly room, you wouldn’t want to miss all that Bacara has to offer. Treat yourself to an afternoon of indulgence at The Spa at Bacara, an award-winning sanctuary, set above the waters of the Pacific Ocean. Many of the spa’s treatments can take place on their rooftop terrace, so you can experience the warmth of the sun and cool sea breezes. Get your man interested in skin care with the OM4 Men’s Facial or pamper yourself for nearly two hours with their signature Crème de la Crème treatment, which includes a foaming milk bath, a gentle full-body exfoliation, a detoxing mud wrap, a full-body massage, a restorative warm scalp treatment and a paraffin for the hands and feet.

After all that spa bliss, take a quiet dip in the adults-only pool, complete with poolside gourmet bites and craft cocktails. Families can enjoy the two other pools on the property that welcome children.

For active travelers, the full-service fitness center offers private training and memorable classes like ocean-view yoga. Greet the day with sun salutations on the hill where a sea breeze fills your lungs as you gaze out into the deep blue. Who doesn’t want to hear the waves crash while coming out of downward facing dog? Namaste!

It’s easy to stay active playing tennis at the resort, renting equipment for paddleboarding, kayaking, mountain biking and horseback riding, or taking a swing at the golf course nearby. There are plenty of ways to unleash the adventurer in you without having to go far. Or, simply stretch your legs with a walk along the beach in search of treasures.

Bacara has plenty of options to please the palate including The Bistro, a modern Italian cafe led by Chef de Cuisine Chris Turano, whose menu supports local artisans. Seafood lovers gravitate to their Pacific Cioppino dish, a medley of halibut, manila clam, prawn, calamari, Santa Barbara mussels, and grilled crostini. Another stand-out is the pancetta and farm egg brick oven-fired pizza. You can find light and healthy fare at The Spa Café or grab a latte at Blend, the on-site coffee bar that serves up sandwiches, pastries, and more.

Bacara charms as a year-round coastal resort with all the right SoCal ingredients.  Look for online specials here.

Sadly there is a dark side to travel and in Bali the cruel dog meat trade is alive and well, PLEASE SIGN & SHARE and do what you can to end this hideous practice. Knowledge is power and tourism dollars matter a great deal to many of the countries that engage in animal cruelty so don't be fooled by many of the zoos and temples that use animals to lure you in and as a result suffer miserable lives... or worst, as below. Thank you! :(
