HOTEL BUZZ: Four Seasons Finally Arrives in Colorado

Four Seasons Resorts doubles-down in Colorado, opening Denver earlier this year and now debuting Vail, which just opened in time for the holiday snow season.

Four Seasons Denver

Considering Colorado’s spectacular ski terrain at world class resorts like Vail and Denver’s buzzing downtown, it is hard to believe that Four Seasons is just now making its Rocky Mountain debut. Last month, Four Seasons opened in the Mile High City, providing a swankier hotel option amid Denver’s burgeoning hotel scene. Located in the heart of the theater district, the 239-room property features expansive rooms, a rooftop terrace, spa, and pool deck with sweeping views of the Rocky Mountains.

For skiers connecting through DIA, the Four Seasons Denver makes the perfect stopover on the way to the newly opened Vail property. At Four Seasons Resort Vail, alpine peaked roofs crown the ten stories, and wooden balconies provide vistas of the spacious outdoor pool and gorgeous views of Colorado’s celebrated Vail Mountain. The 121 rooms are designed with natural hickory wood and limestone, and feature stone fireplaces and deep soaking tubs to keep you warm against the crisp winter cold. The units offer guests the convenience of gourmet kitchens, and the open floor plans are decorated with contemporary mountain finishes. The resort also offers limited luxury real estate opportunities, including 16 whole-ownership residences and 19 fractional-ownership residences.

On site, the hotel features the Flame Restaurant for steakhouse dining and a 14,000-plus-square-foot spa with 13 indoor/outdoor treatment rooms, a hair and nail salon, relaxation lounge, and fitness center. Those willing to leave their cozy rooms will find the Four Seasons Resort Vail is primed for outdoor fun. A Ski Concierge facility is available slope-side, offering rentals, waxing, and even lockers with a pipe system to air-dry ski boots and gear. The diverse trails of Vail Mountain are ideal for everyone hitting the slopes–from beginners to seasoned experts.
Four Seasons Vail is offering two special packages to celebrate the season. The Ski Free package (which includes three-day lift tickets and ski rentals) or the Stay Longer package (offering a complimentary fifth night for guests booking four nights or more) is available through Christmas, and again from January 2nd 2011 to April 24th 2011.
