The Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group is bringing the panache of the Far East to the West this December with the opening of a Mandarin Oriental Hotel and Residences in Las Vegas, Nevada. The 47-story, non-gaming hotel intends to create an oasis of luxury with its stylish accommodations, superior service and fine dining. Set in the entrance of the CityCenter, Vegas’ first Mandarin Oriental Hotel will shine with artistic cachet as the award-winning architectural firm Kohn Pederson Fox and interior designer Adam D. Tihany have placed their stamp on the property’s 392 luxurious rooms and suites, and 227 sleek residences. Highlights of this ground-breaking property include the impressive “sky lobby” located on the 23rd floor, technologically-advanced guestrooms, a two-level 27,000-square-foot spa, a naturally-lit 7,650-square-foot Oriental Ballroom, and five dining options ranging from a boutique bar scene to an on-the-go-patisserie. The anchor restaurant Twist is the only restaurant in the US where the cuisine of the three-star Michelin signature chef Pierre Gagnaire can be experienced. Striking design coupled with elite service could make this property a big winner in the land of high rollers.
