Summer Fun at Rancho Bernardo Inn

Rancho Bernardo Inn

Rancho Bernardo Inn

Everyone knows that San Diego is Mecca for kids, but just because you’ve got the children in tow, you don’t have to scale back on luxury accommodations. The legendary Rancho Bernardo Inn has a new package, KIDS RULE, PARENTS DROOL, appropriately beginning June 19th in time for Father’s Day and running through September 13. The sprawling ranch-style property reflects old school California with its Spanish architecture, white washed walls, brick patios, outdoor fireplaces, tiled fountains, and manicured gardens. Their 25-million dollar renovation in 2007 has sent the luxury quotient soaring as you’ll rest easy in their superbly refurbished rooms, studies in good taste and elegance, many with verandas proffering sweeping views of the meandering golf course.

Spa Casitas

Spa Casitas

While mom and dad will be thrilled with the halcyon spa with its temperature-controlled outdoor casitas nestled in a pine grove with a symphonic fountain centerpiece, the saline Roman spa pool with sleek cabanas, or 36-holes of resort-style challenging golf, kids will flip over the bounty of free amenities offered to them. Small fry under 12 are invited to experience a manicure or pedicure at the spa, play a round of golf, hit the Wii Lounge, attend dive-in movies, watch in-room videos, and grab a pastry at the Café—all for free.

In-room Happy Camper

In-room Happy Camper

In-room camping means tents, sleeping bags, glow sticks, and s’more treats, also comp’d.  And while the kids are enjoying a pizza party, parents can slip off for fine dining at El Bizcocho and sample Executive Chef Judd Canepari’s innovative modern American cuisine with its seasonal menu and spectacular use of molecular gastronomy techniques.  Not to mention, parents will rejoice in the fact that breakfast, lunch and dinner at the Veranda are comp’d for the offspring.

With rooms starting at $199, how could you possible say no to this cornucopia of complimentary leisure activities, food, and fun.
